Bill Guerin was named General Manager for both the 2025 NHL 4 nations face-off and the 2026 Team USA Mens Olympic hockey team. The current Minnesota Wild General manager will take on these additional responsibilities in addition to managing the Wild. During his glory days, Guerin played 18 seasons in the NHL and also played on 3 US Olympic teams (‘98, ‘02, ‘06).

This is technically the second time he has been appointed to the role. Due to NHL and NHLPA not sending players to the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, partly due to covid-19 concerns, there was no need for the role.

“It’s an honor beyond belief to be asked to do this and I couldn’t say yes quick enough. I am so thankful to USA Hockey for this opportunity, and also appreciate the support of Craig [Leipold] and the Wild organization. I’ve been fortunate to have many great days in hockey and this is among the very best.”
